I have hardly ever seen owls. I can count on one hand how many owls I have seen over the years. A great horned owl roosting roadside at Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico. Another Great Horned Owl on the Big Hole River in Montana. Some unknown ground dwelling owl that I saw late at night as I was driving in on my driveway in West Yellowstone. But in the last year I have seen a plethora of owls, including only my second sighting ever of a Great Gray Owl. Of all places to see such a rare bird, it was in Lindley Park next to the Bozeman Library. Way cool!
